Learn a little more about this drink originating in Ireland with more than 400 years of existence.

For more than nine years, every third Saturday of May is celebrated the World Whisky Day, being the third most popular alcoholic beverage in the world and one of the most prestigious due to its way of elaboration. Thanks to Blair Bowman, a whisky taster, it was possible to designate a special day to recognize this drink that was previously known only because only older men drank it, and now more and more women and young men are asking for it in bars and nightclubs.

Is whiskey still a drink mostly consumed by men?

Things have changed, it is no longer a drink only for men. We used to see it as a very masculine drink, and today women have increased their consumption. Women are also more involved in all the production, marketing, and consumption processes. Helen Mulholland is the first woman to be awarded as a Master Blender in Irish Whiskey history and the first woman to be inducted into the Whisky Magazine's Wall of Fame.

I'm going to tell you a secret....

So you can taste the flavor of a whiskey like no other.

One of my favorite whiskeys is the original Tullamore D.E.W..

It is a tipple blend of Irish whiskey that is characterized by being smooth and combines flavors like no other. The malt in the Tullamore D.E.W. gives it a fruity flavor. That I'm sure you will love.

You may be wondering how this Whiskey is made?

According to the producers, The complex yet approachable flavors in the whiskey are derived from - three types of grain, triple distillation, and the blend of all three Irish whiskeys.

They use a Triple cask-matured for depth and balance. Over a period of several years, it is aged in traditional refill barrels, ex-bourbon barrels, and ex-sherry butts.

If you are interested in more about the history and how this distillate is made, I recommend you visit their website. https://www.tullamoredew.com/

For now, I want to tell you about the fun part.

How to drink a good Irish Whiskey?

Obviously, you can enjoy the liqueur on its own. But there are other ways to enjoy it.

There is much debate as to whether ice or water should be added to whiskey. The answer is simple. Drink it as you enjoy it. Considerations are always worthwhile, but rules don't exist.

Adding ice can chill the Whiskey, give it a slow dilution, and even improve its flavors.

Obviously let me share some recipes for you to share with friends, family, or after a long day at work.
